Community of Practice & Support Sessions

SMART Recovery Australia offers a range of Community of Practice (CoP) and facilitator support sessions designed to help trained facilitators strengthen their skills, connect with peers, and continue developing their facilitation practice.

These sessions provide a supportive space for facilitators to share experiences, ask questions, discuss challenges, and learn from others running SMART Recovery meetings across Australia.
All sessions are conducted online and are open to trained SMART Recovery facilitators.

Community of Practice – 4 Point Program

The Community of Practice brings together trained SMART Recovery facilitators delivering the 4 Point Program.

  • These monthly sessions provide an opportunity to refine facilitation skills, discuss real-life meeting experiences, share ideas and practical strategies, and connect with other facilitators and organisations. They support ongoing learning and professional development for facilitators running SMART Recovery meetings across community, health, and service settings.

Inside Out Community of Practice

Support for facilitators working in justice settings

Facilitating SMART Recovery meetings in justice settings can involve unique challenges. The Inside Out Communities of Practice provide a dedicated space for facilitators delivering programs in justice and correctional environments to connect, reflect, and share experience.

• Peer learning and experience sharing
• Focus on recovery work in justice settings
