How do I create a new SMART Recovery Account?
To log in you must create a new SMART Recovery account. Because this is a brand new learning platform, everyone needs to create a new account on this platform.
There are two ways to create an account.
1. Locate the "Sign Up" button at the top of our school and click it. Input your email and choose a password, and you're in!
2. Alternately you will be prompted to create an account when you register for a new course.
When creating your account, don't input your email address- instead, click "Don't have an account? Sign up" as seen below.
How soon will I get access to my courses?
You will get access to your course(s) immediately after your make an online purchase (or when you have been manually enrolled by us).
How to Start the Course?
Once logged into the learning platform, you can start your course by:
- Going to your Courses & Program, then Courses
- Selecting the course
- Clicking on the first module
- You can then progress through the modules at your own pace.

Are there prerequisites for the courses or lessons?
In most cases there are no prerequisites and you can take this course independently. If any prerequisites apply, they will be clearly indicated in the course description. If you have any questions, please contact the SMART Recovery team.
How long does it take to complete the 4-Point Facilitator Training?
The SMART Recovery 4-Point Facilitator Training typically takes around 8 hours to complete.
After completing the training, facilitators continue to receive support from SMART Recovery Australia. This includes access to resources and the opportunity to participate in Communities of Practice — online support sessions where facilitators can connect, share experiences, and continue developing their facilitation skills. These sessions usually run for 60–90 minutes.

How do I navigate inside a course?
Once you access a course, you will find a full table of contents at the left-hand side of the screen. You can browse through the sections and access the learning unit you would like to study. In most cases you will be required to complete the course in order meaning you can't skip to content until completing the content before it. Note that learning units that you have visited / completed are marked with a discrete check mark.
Why is a module locked?
Some modules may remain locked until the previous lesson or section has been completed.
Please make sure you have finished the previous lesson or activity before moving to the next module.
If the module still appears locked after completing the previous section, please contact the SMART Recovery team and we will check this for you.

How do I download my Certificate of Completion?
Once you have completed all 5 modules, including Module 5, you will be able to download your Certificate of Completion.
To download your certificate:
• Go to the Certificate section in the course
• Enter your first name and last name
• Click Download Your certificate will only become available once all 5 modules have been completed.

Does access to my course expire?
In most cases, once you have enrolled to a course you will have access for lifetime.
Why is a video not loading?
If a video is not loading, please try the following:
• Refresh the page
• Check your internet connection
• Open the platform in a different browser (Google Chrome is recommended for the best experience)
• Make sure you are not connected to a VPN

What Browsers are Supported?
We support the latest versions of all well-known browsers. For optimal studying experience we recommend using Google Chrome.
Can I take the courses on my tablet or phone?
Yes! This online school is fully responsive in all kinds of electronic devices. No app required.
Is Internet Access Required?
Internet access is required since all of the course contents are online. We also recommend using a broadband internet connection, especially when you have to go through video content.
How can I connect with other SMART Recovery facilitators?
You can connect with other SMART Recovery facilitators through the Community forum section of the learning platform.
